June challenge - On The Waterfront
This shot has nothing to do with the 1954 American crime film about violence and corruption. However, it is a photograph by the waterfront and there is an element of mystery and intrigue! The boat is sailing by Orford Ness, which is a shingle spit on the Suffolk Coast. Behind the sailing boat is one of the distinctive pagodas where military activity and experiments took place some years ago.
Orford Ness is now a nature reserve reached by a boat from the quay.
