A favourite view

I've taken this picture hundreds of times before, it's from the cattle grid before descending into Elterwater. I love the Langdale valley.
As you reach the cattle grid the mighty Langdale pikes are dominating the vista. It always makes me catch my breath.
I always think of my friend Nick who's dad died there. I always remember posting a picture like today's and he messaged me saying he loves that view but his dad died there. So when I see that view I think of him.
