Cirque de Baume

After a few hours driving we arrived at our destination in the Jura. After setting up we took a short drive to this natural amphitheater. Just below the viewpoint to the left of the picture there are limestone caves and beside them the source of the River Seille gushes over a mossy outcrop. The picturesque village in the distant floor of the valley is the beauty spot of Baume les Messieurs.
