COMIC CHARACTERS

These are the statues in Dundee City Centre of Desperate Dan, Mini The Minx and Gnasher all made famous in the Dandy and Beano comics.

Desperate Dan appeared in issue 1 of the Dandy comic on 4th December 1937. Gnasher appeared with Dennis The Menace in 1951 in The Beano comic. I'm not sure about when Mini The Minx first appeared.
