No Dogs Allowed on Lawn ...
... at the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. This was my first shot of the day (in the end, a convenience blip), from a bus headed downtown, on a hectic day. It shows the garden area surrounding the museum, looking east from Columbus Avenue (see the map). The little sign forbidding dogs is in the center of the blip--it's best seen in large.
We were headed to a truly exquisite exhibition of medieval alabaster sculptures at the Museum of Biblical Art --they are all from the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
Afterwards I made a crazy dash further downtown by car, to an exhibition of photographs by August Sander and the Bechers (Bernt + Hilla).
Then we dashed to Westchester Community College, where our friend Marge was being honored for her many years of service.
We're back home, time for bed; I'll try to add a bit more tomorrow morning.
