Chooks on the beach.

The neighbours chooks were running free late this afternoon, and were over where we pull the boat out of the water. They weren't very impressed with me trying to take pictures of them, so they hopped down onto the beach. They seem to love scratching around in the rocks, and things that wash up along the tide-line.
Sun is off the house by 3.00pm, still a couple of weeks to go until the shortest day. Days have been still and cool, so nothing drying out around the place. Grass is soaking wet all day long. At least it isn't raining and blowing a gale, & the temperature has been in the double figures still. So I should stop moaning.
