Strolling......

The tide was out, the wind was biting and yet we continued to stroll. It was hazy along the hills as the river meandered towards the ocean. Black swans were in large numbers as were the mallards, a handful of spoonbills and plenty of shags and gulls all feeding at the estuary today. It felt good to be by the sea again, even though the air was brisk.

I had a lovely time with Daughter E who was suffering with a cold while in Wellington with us, she's looking and feeling much better today and was up for a small stroll.

Meatballs are slowly cooking away as I type, served with spaghetti and salad tonight.
