Rare Visitor
One of the advantages of having snow, is the occasional rare visitor to the garden. I have always wanted to see a Fieldfare and we currently have two coming into the garden to feed.
It's a constant battle with the snow and ice to keep the food and water available, but this makes it worth every minute. a rough bird count is 10 blackbirds male and female, four thrushes, sparrows, wagtails, two robins and a blackcap. All in the space of an hour.
