~Cathedral Rocks~
~Pusch Ridge At Sunset~
This is the 7,963 foot crest of Pusch Ridge, at the southern end of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The glory of the ridge are the Cathedral Rocks. Often, when I do my morning meditations I focus my devotions to the topmost point of this formation.
I really do have a fondness for this geologic structure. These rocks were formed 25 million years ago at a depth of 6 miles. Through erosion and uplifting of this granite core they now present a most beautiful sight. The base of the mountains rest in the Canada Del Oro riverbed, an almost 5,500 foot near vertical drop.
Hope you enjoy the view as much as I do.
