~~ First Day of Vole Hunting Season Opens~~

Yes. Here it is the 4th of June and the first caught vole arrived, dead, and carefully delivered through the cat flap and onto the kitchen floor before I went out -- half asleep to make my coffee.
Other than a slight amount of blood dribbling from its snout it was in pristine condition. The hunter expects extra points and pats for this.
I was barefoot. Takes some points away along with the corpse.
I also did not take a memorable photo of the beast.
Just cleaned up and went on to the coffee.

Cats do not eat voles. The taste is disagreeable to them. So out to the garbage with it. [Another discovery today: Betta fish do not eat sun dried baby shrimp. Waste of $3.50.]

So, the blip today is of the opened iris who had been showing her fancy under petticoats the other day. Looks lovely fully opened too.
