I found this egg shell in our garden yesterday - not sure if the contents hatched or if the egg was someone's breakfast!

It does look rather neatly opened - like an egg in an eggcup.

About the size of a 50p piece, completely white with no speckles.

My 5 minute research tells me it might be a pigeon egg. We do have a few pigeons around and there was certainly a lot of baby pigeon making earlier in the year. You know they say you never see baby pigeons - well I still haven't!
