Commuting

Now the title and the picture at first glance probably don't seem to match, but I can assure you they do.

I leave the house every morning at 7 am. I arrive at the office at 8.25-8.30 am (depending on transfers). The first 25 minutes of my commute is walking to the train station. This is the nicest bit of the journey as we get to walk through these woods and it is incredibly peaceful at that time of day.

Then onto the train for a half an hour journey into London.

Then change trains for a short hop across London.

And then a 15 minute march across London Bridge with the hoards of other commuters. By this point these woods and their tranquility might as well be a million miles away!

Home time sees the journey reversed and me arriving home at 7 pm (on a good day where I don't work late and there are no train issues). These woods are a welcome sight on the way back as they signal I am nearly there!

Can you see why I want a change of lifestyle?!? 3 hours a day traipsing across the south east and London isn't a sustainable life style for me in the long term.
