Elmer

Koortsstuip (Fever fit)

This morning we heared Elmer making a strange and unfamiliar sound after he drunk some milk. We thought he was chocking or having an epileptic seizure.

We found him in his bed. Weak and shakey and he didn't respond to us so we dialed the alarmnumber. Both the guy on the phone as well as the four medics -two ambulances arrived in only a few minutes- did a great job in calming us down as Elmer came back to his normal self. The medics told us it was probably a febrile seizure. (Koortsstuip)

They let us decide if we would like to go to the hospital or not.
We stayed at home and chatted with some animals online.

He is now sleeping quietly and his fever is gone thanks to some paracetamol.

No fathers-day-zoo for us this year.
