In the snake and reptile house
Visited the reptile house today. Coming from a country with no snakes at all we are rather unsure of these creatures. They were all safety behind glass. This photo shows our reflections in the mirror at the back of the case, and we were not about to be attacked. These are boas, also have a good one of boas shedding its skin to show the more colourful new scaly skin.
Another look at the tiny poison arrow frogs which are about postage stamp size and named as the Indians scraped the toxic mucous off for their arrows. We saw quite a few of these little red frogs in the wild on the Caribbean side. Long day travelling tomorrow.
