Fete de la Transhumance

It was an amazing sight watching hundreds of sheep moved through the small village of Vendres, some have pom poms on which didn't seem to just be for decoration, but must be different colours representing different flocks. The horsemanship was incredible, with no barriers between the crowd and the sheep they were controlling. It was great to see that this was very much a village tradition and not something put on for the tourists. And, of course, there were border collies!
