Summer

The Berner in the middle of this picture is Summer, Emmys sister. Em is sitting on the left and Sascha (their mum) to the right.
Yesterday we had an email from Emmys' breeders to say that Summer had been returned to them as her owners had just had a baby and could not cope with the baby and her. We asked if we could come and see her and did so this evening.

We watched Summer grow like Emmy from a tiny pup to an eight week ball of fluff, here is one of the earliest pics we have of Summer (then called Loppy). At eight weeks all of the pups went to their respective homes and that was the last time we saw Summer until today.
Summer was incredibly timid and you could feel her spine and every one of her ribs. She does not know how to play and has never chewed a bone. Seeing her next to Emmy really shocked us both as to how different all the puppies lives can be.

Summer is now looking for a loving new home and we are making the most difficult decision as to whether this could be with us.
