The old footbridge

A little while ago I blipped the Millennium Bridge in Bedford. Today I had another trip to my Italian Deli so decided I'd blip the original bridge which is a little further up the river. The bridge had it's moment of fame in 1986 when it featured at the start of an episode of the show "Treasure Hunt" on Channel 4, when Anneka Rice said that one of the few things she knew about Bedford was that it was famous for Brussels Sprouts. I think that probably came as news to the good people of Bedford.
