Showers over Southampton

As is often the case the Island was mostly in the sunshine whilst shower clouds tracked along the South Coast. The Commonwealth Games Baton was travelling through Southampton at this time so hope the participants did not get too wet.

The dredger which can just be seen behind the breakwater has recently started work to build a new arm across the water from Cowes to create sheltered year round moorings for many more boats than can be accommodated at present.
