Barking

This beautiful bark caught my eye on a tree next to the River Wharfe in Ilkley where I went after taking CJ via the vet to get her worming tablets. (She's always less than impressed with that little outing.)

Sculpture fascinates me. Although I've never tried it, I'd love to think I might some day create something that has the same impact as this natural artwork had on me. I did buy a wood carving set a while ago but never actually tried it out - time seems to run away.
