IT'S A THRUSH STORY

While listening to the radio yesterday the local wildlife programme said that Ireland has become home to thrushes from as far away as Finland and the UK. And sure enough the gardens around are full of them. I have never seen so many of these beautiful birds in my life before, I counted up to ten in one tree. We are now expected to get heavy snow, so they'll have no where to go from here. In picture is the Redwing Thrush the smallest of the common trushes of Northern Europe.
