For a smile pay here

In F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, there’s a scene that’s dominated by a large advertising hoarding of Doctor T J Eckleburg's bespectacled eyes. The billboard is used to symbolise the loss of spiritual values in the US to overt commercialism. The eyes stare out over an industrial wasteland not unlike these teeth smiling over the mess that is Woking Railway Station. Good to see that Gatsby is alive and kicking in the South East of England.
