Sea Pinks

We headed down to the ferry this morning to say good bye to C&H then I pottered about in the garden and Mike made the most of the last day of his holidays working in his shed! Lots of whistling going on - a happy man!

By the afternoon the sun had come out so Ollie and I wandered up to the cliffs to see what we could see! At this time of the year they are covered in Thrift (Sea Pinks). Fulmars are nesting on the ledges and the shouting of oyster catchers and screeching of terns fills the air.

Down onto the beach Ollie did a bit of paddling and splashing about, I did a bit of rock pooling and a bit of shell hunting. Another lovely day!
