Wall

I needed a 'culture' day today so I had a trip to the Media Museum in Bradford (some really inspiring exhibitions on at the mo so please go and support if you can).

However today's Blip features the spectacular work being undertaken on the walls of the the underpass that takers you from the town to the museum. If you've ever visited and walked from the station you might remember these dark foreboding places - often a bit disorientating with some old, scabby murals from the 80's.

This picture features Jenny who has been getting local artists and other volunteers to completely redo them and they are looking fab. This wall is by artist Tom Wooley and is now complete and Jenny's wall is well under way. All the paint has been donated by Bradford Community Repaint.

More info here...

it was a real joy and inspiration to spend a few minutes chatting with Jenny who has pulled the whole project together so please go and see the work unfolding in the next few weeks and if she and other volunteers are around encourage them on.

Great job.
