Traditional map reading

We have never done a rail holiday before. The journey through Germany, it has to be said, was fantastic.

Here is a picture of Richard looking at the map following our route to our final destination in Austria. We have arrived and have been told by the hotel owner that the temperature today topped 30° with good weather to continue for the rest of the week.

Despite being probably the youngest two people in our group, they are a very friendly bunch and the banter has already started.
