Kudzu
While I'm on the subject of "native to Georgia" (see the covered bridge yesterday), this is kudzu, the Georgia state invasive foreign vine species. Lots of baskets are made from the dormant vines, and now local cooks are trying to use it in salads. And they thought it was bad if you swallowed bubble gum!
Only got the one shot - afraid to stand still near it too long. Give it five minutes & it'll cover you completely, like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."
It's very lush and tropical-looking, but unfortunately kills the trees. And the telephone poles.
