1914 Vickers Pattern D Gun

Now appearing to stand guard at the entrance to
Scarborough harbour, this gun was recovered in
1984 by Scarborough Sub Aqua Club and local
fishermen from the wreck of SS Hornsund sunk
by torpedo in 1917 some 2.5 miles SE of the gun's
present location.
