Birthday Walk

This was taken on one of my favourite walks. The Silverbridge/Blackwater River Walk near Garve. Bud and I had been here on a couple of Wee Ones Walks recently, but Poppy had stayed at home. She, unfortunately, cannot be called a "wee one" so can't join in. So I took them both this afternoon, just us and She was in her element. It was just right for a hot afternoon, they could cool off in the river and rest under the trees.

Originally it had been part of an old drovers route. The cattle came down from the Highlands and assembled at Little Garve to rest and have their feet shoed in preparation for the long walk down south to the markets.
