A splodge of colour
Calum is 18, he'll be 19 in a few months time. I've blipped him a few times and regular readers will have seen him grow during the last 4 years but he's still my man-boy and my baby. This thought kept rattling around my head as I listened to the D Day commemoration on the radio on the way home this evening. Many of the men who surged off the landing craft to charge through the shell shot and machine gun fire on the beaches of Normandy were the same age as he is now. Those they were interviewing, men of 88 and 89, were the age Cal is now. It really brought it home.
