Worth the wait

My white mecanopsis grown from seed has flowered for the second year running. I bought a packet of seed three years ago and didn't think any would germinate but two did. One was eaten by snails as soon as I planted it out but this one flourished last year. We have just started to redesigned the garden and I very carefully replanted my poppy in another flower bed and held my breath and it set buds and has now flowered. I can't believe how resilient it has been given all the horror stories I have heard about needing the perfect soil and never moving or they will stop flowering. I guess it is better to trust that what you're doing is right, not to get too wound up in details and enjoy the outcome.

To all my subscribers, sorry for the lack of posting, things have been a bit fraught and complicated over the past few months but they are getting on a more even keel now and I will catch up with all of your blips.
