Stalactites at The Pike

Every day I see something new that this arctic weather has brought to my home. Today it was icicles hanging from the little roof of my boiler house.

This week Baltinglass was sited as the coldest part of the country at -14 degrees. It concurred with my own thermometer which was still registering this temperature at 8 in the morning.

I managed to get to the town today to get provisions. The supermarket was jammed with people stockpiling in case of more snow, which is forecast to come on Sunday or Monday.
