Driving

Today was the day! We went driving! Ever since I heard David was practicing driving I have been waiting and waiting and hoping and praying that he would go for a ride while I was around. It happened!

Cathy Wickward, David's mom, grabs on to the wheel to help David make a turn as they practice driving. David is in the process of getting his learner's permit. Meanwhile he is waiting to see when modifications—including a steering wheel that would come back closer to his hands and an iPad-like device to operate signals and headlights—will be added to his car.

"Honestly it's taken forever to get the funding and stuff," David said about the process of getting funding from the government.
