Piccadilly

The Circus wasn't a "must see" destination for us on this trip; it happened to be on the route we were following to meet with friends. Appropriate really, as the significance of Piccadilly Circus originates from its early status as a major traffic junction and public space. In that context it still serves its original purpose, even though the romantic scene of a bustling meeting place has been replaced by throngs of sightseers....
