Frog

Gave the Frogs a huge clean out tonight. Took all of the rocks out and washed them as well as the water in the pond section.
The rocks are to stop the frogs from ingesting the potting mix as it isn't any good for them.
I first put small rocks in there, I thought they were big enough but a couple of times I saw the frogs miss cue when they went for a cricket and actually swallowed a rock, so I had to get bigger rocks.
The frog would regurgitate the rock but not straight away and I was in a panic that they would die from the rock.
Looking at my photos I should have washed the frogs when I finished the other cleaning as they are all grotty from the being able to get around in the dirt.
They must not eat as much now that it is colder. I have cut back how much I was feeding them. Or maybe they are just getting too clever. They just sat there tonight and waited for the cricket to come to them instead of hunting them down.
