Peach Blossom

Lots of moths in my light trap this morning including 8 elephant hawk moths but I blipped those last week. A poplar hawk moth, I may keep that for tomorrows blip. There was actually nearly 40 different species in there so lots to choose from.

Plus instead of getting a macro lens I have borrowed some extension tubes, just to see how they go. This is the first time I have tried them and I see I must be careful with my dof. Lots not in focus as I resorted to using manual focus for the first time too.

Still hand held so I think I may have a problem there, maybe my next acquisition should be a decent tripod

This is a really lovely moth with a very peach colour on the spots, good for hiding in lichen.
