Splish Splash outside!

Today I finally did something that I have, if I am completely honest, dreading since I signed up to do the Great Scottish Swim. I went swimming outside at the new Pinkston water sports facility in the city centre. Don't know what I was worried about, I absolutely loved every second of it.

The strangest thing about open water swimming is that the water didn't taste of chlorine. Having only ever swam in a pool before, this was a revelation. Rolling on your back and seeing the sky was awesome, although it was cloudy and grey it was still beautiful.

Cannot wait to get back out again. Bring it on :)
