The Lychgate, All Saints, Bramham
Another church shot - grabbed on the way home this evening, first chance to get a photo all day (well not strictly true - I did attempt a photo of a train on my way out this morning but camera had managed to set itself to Shutter Priority and the settings produced a very dark image !) I didn't have my glasses on at the time so couldn't see much!
The lychgate was erected in 1901 by Mr John Lloyd Wharton, M.P. for Ripon, in memory of his wife who died in 1872!
The steps up to the gates have been renovated in the last year - several of the most badly worn stones were replaced.
