Water water everywhere...and not a platform clue i

A gorgeous train trip back from Dumfries - an awfy bonnie Scotland whizzing past in the glorious sunshine.

Back in Edinburgh the forecast downpour hit - and pretty soon the roads were flooded. Waverley Station was full of drookit commuters when - just like that - all the noticeboards and electronic signage went dark.

Cue all kinds of confusion as no-one was able to work out which platforms to head for. To be fair, the staff reacted really quickly and organised themselves to assist everyone. I imagine it must be the kind of scenario they train for - just in case!
