A day of adventures

Bella and I set off for a series of Saturday adventures.

Firstly a stroll up Leith Walk looking at all the exotic shops, African Hairdressers, Chinese Supermarkets, Turkish grocers and Spanish barbers.

Then it was time for a 'trail' game in the portrait gallery where I discovered, to my amazement, a portrait of someone I used to know, taken by none other than Robert Mapplethorpe.

We followed up this revelation with cup of tea and a scone.

And, as we were up in that part of town we had a quick and rather crowded spin on a tram. but, the the rain came down so we headed home for a marathon Famous Five session.

Nine episodes in one sitting!

An adventurous day all round.

BTW she's upstairs now singing her head off in bed.
