Symbol of Rememberance

In early April the youngest sons's school gave all the children poppy seeds to plant at home. The children also spent an afternoon planting seeds around the school. It is all part of the plan to cover the UK with poppies to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War.

I waited for the sun to come out before photographing the one poppy we have so far. Unfortunately my camera battery died so I had to use my phone.... I think we've been fairly lucky today and only had a few showers this morning.
