Morleys bakery

on the High Street.
Alex and I tootled here this morning to get bread, a pecan slice (mine) and jam doughnuts (Alex's).
I found this review of the shop which I thought was a fair assessment...
It bakes on the premises every day and the goods go fast - there is nothing much left by mid-day!
We then grabbed a paper and had coffee and muffins in 'The Deaf Cat' to avoid a sudden downpour (that was my excuse).
We avoided a drowning and arrived home only slightly damp.
Fred arrived back and we have had a very lazy day together culminating in a Chinese take-away.
