Eye of the Needle

First entry for this month's competition in the flickr Close-Up & Macro Photography group with the theme 'Eyes'. Early on I had a sudden inspiration that I could take a photo of the eye of a needle. The photo is taken with my piece of black velvet and my trusty 105mm macro lens. I have attached the needle to a jar so that the background looses all detail and turns solid black. As a bonus the thread moves through all three dimensions and gets out of focus.
