We wento to Saughton Park for a bit of fresh air and a walk but came across a gentleman who told us there was an archaeological dig going on there. The team was examining the remains of Saughton House which was destoyed in 1952. There was also a lecture from a couple of representatives from the AOC, mostly to members of the dig about how to interpret, date, analyse and preserve any artefacts.
