Small details overlooked

I worked all day today. My office building is an old house which has been converted to office spaces. This door handle is one of the few originals left. I love how the paint has been worn with use leaving a relief of the decorative pattern. I so enjoy the ornate, everyday items of history. Our period will be so visually boring to future historians.
