Started thawing today and I'm already daydreaming about warm, sunny beaches. Played around for hours with the new macro lens that Santa brought -much better fun than ironing and food shopping (we artists have to suffer for our creativity) - and, two hundred and fifty-odd shots later, ended-up with this. Makes a change from another snow shot, anyway.

Beautiful boy back safe and sound from his week's snowboarding. Heard a few tales last night about avalanches, fifty feet drops, off-piste boarding...Also, as he's talking, I'm noticing that his skin is still stained blue from the fancy dress party they had at the start of the week when he went dressed, or maybe not, as a crayon. A blue crayon, I'm presuming.
