He loves me. . .
On our hike this morning at Rosario Beach, I saw something that warmed my heart and happened too fast for the camera to capture. As soon as we left the woods and walked into this field of daisies, both my boys bent down at the same time and picked me a flower. Alex, however, didn't stop with just one. After the spot above my ears was at capacity on both sides, Alex proceeded to fill my sweatshirt pockets with daisies. A girl can never have too many flowers from her loved ones. ;)
We had such a gorgeous hike. We ate lunch in a field atop a cliff overlooking the bay, climbed a tree, ate some more, and finished our hike with enough time to stop for ice cream on the way home. After grabbing our suits at home we finished the day with dinner at the family beach cabin where Alex got to play with his cousins. A perfect day had to end with the AC component going out on our car (we pray that's the only thing broken) and are not looking forward to that pricey fix. Tried to drown our sorrows with a little wine and popcorn in the backyard as the sun set tonight. Way more "good" than "bad" today. . . I'll take it.
