Before The Storm

This was the scene above West Byfleet this morning as low-level rolling Nimbostratus clouds filled the sky from horizon to horizon bringing shortly after this a huge downpour.

The warmth of June made it still possible to dodge in and out without getting too uncomfortable - and after an hour there was one enormous thunderclap and the temperature soared, rain stopped and clouds cleared as if to mark an 'official start to summer'.

Still light tonight at 11:15
With it a few days to go until the longest day it's nice to see the light.
