Happy anniversary to Glenn and I!!!!
17 years ago today Glenn and I tied the knot, so today's blip was going to be a selfie of the 2 of us along with a slushy write up!!!
Instead you get my feet waiting on the children's ward for Little Bryn to return from an op, to fix his badly broken wrist that needs to be pinned back together.
Day started lovely, we headed down to Crawley to pick up Bryn's surprise early birthday pressie. A motor cross bike!!! Picked it up and headed home, didn't stop for lunch just snacked as we were going out to celebrate our anniversary.
Bryn the whole way was bubbling with excitement about how he just wanted to get home and try the bike out. Glenn was saying how you have to respect these bikes and he had had a few broken bones on them, but Bryn full of confidence was saying how he would be absolutely fine he knew how to ride them!!!
So we arrived home got the bike out on the field, Glenn gave him a little lesson on what to do and what not, how if you fall make sure you get out from under the bike as quick as you can, yeah, yeah yeah daddy was Bryn's response. Falls off a couple of times does as he's told. Gets his confidence up pulls the throttle instead of the other one whilst turning to avoid the tractor, wheelies it and falls off!!
Glenn runs over Bryn walks to me saying his arm is really hurting, we get the helmet and all the body armour off and he has an arm that resembles the humps on a camel!!!! Ok get in the car and a&e here we come!!! We walk in and it is packed, but the couple of lovely people in front of us said oh dear you go before us we can wait.
Had an x ray saw the doctor who said he would need it pinned but had to be tonight as he had pins and needles, so needed to be sorted ASAP, unfortunately we had to wait until 6 hours after he'd eaten!! Which was 11pm. Dead on 11 they whisked him down and operated!!
He has been an absolute star he didn't moan about himself but in A&E a child was crying at having steri strips put on, he was totally bemused by this and started saying to me hello I have an arm that resembles a camel am I crying??!?? At which point we had a little chuckle and he fell asleep.
So that in a nutshell is how we celebrated 17 years of marriage, one we won't forget!!
:) x
