Garland of Flowers

Pentecost, also known as Whit Sunday or Whitsunday, is an important Christian holiday in the Netherlands. It marks the Holy Spirit's descent from heaven onto Jesus' followers. It is also the time for short breaks or longer vacations and a popular time for outdoor music festivals like PinkPop featuring Metallica, John Mayer and The Rolling Stones* this year!

I never knew it but the flower garland is a part of the whitsunday tradition and this girl wears it with pride.
