A perfect Sunday morning.

The glorious weather continues, with warm sunshine, blue skies and a gentle breeze. Perfect English summer weather.

H is away this weekend, so I was able to meet up with a friend for an early morning dog walk through a different part of the Wiltshire countryside. Her favourite local walk is just gorgeous and we had a great time enjoying the views, catching up on news (both of us) and taking pictures (me).

I had lots of choices of shots, but wanted one of Claire and Jasper the dog, so here they are looking at the very beautiful and old, tiny parish church - St John Baptist - in Mildenhall (pronounced locally as "Minal"). A church of many periods with magnificent Gothic furnishings, dating to the 1820's, inside there are equally magnificent boxed bench pews and the satisfying smell of wood polish. Well worth a visit.
