Giant in the forest

While exploring the red squirrel trail at the Falkland estate in Fife, we came across this giant in the forest - one of the creations of a nation wide art project combining art, technology and the natural environment. The red squirrel trail was created as part of the Fife red squirrel project, to raise awareness about the local conservation of this threatened species. This is a lovely walk through tall conifers, adorned with sculptures and the story of the Fife squirrels conveyed through rubbings designed by the local community with the help of an artist.
